Bamboo Farm & Coastal Gardens
Shown here is the final conceptual drawing for the Master Plan of Bamboo Farm & Coastal Gardens as presented by Professor Greg Coyle of the UGA College of Environment and Design. Currently, design students are working on the various gardens of the plan including Formal Garden , Entry and Approach Road , Children’s Garden, and the Demonstration House and Gardens. The Master Plan Task Force is also working with the CAES Office of Development to produce a fundraising brochure and slide program to assist with fundraising efforts. In addition, a group composed of UGA Extension Agents in Agriculture & Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H; along with educators and Green Industry professionals is meeting to develop a program plan for the kinds of educational activities that will be possible with the new Visitor and Education Center and gardens. Grant funding opportunities are being explored for funding garden development. Donations and gifts gratefully accepted.
